OUR ROOMS

Enjoy the Cozy Atmosphere

The Front Desk or Office of Rainbow Court’s Motel is very unique due to the historic nature of the motel. The third generation owners since the founding in 1918 live on site and operate the motel 24/7. We offer complimentary snacks, fruit and fresh muffins each morning. We also offer a variety of coffee, flavored coffee and teas. The office is furnished with antiques, an original Coca Cola Machine that dates back to the 1940's prior to WWII. Unlike typical motels, the office is very inviting and offers an example of the quality and service that guests have come to expect when staying at the oldest motel in Texas.

We were there with my husband and after hiking all we want to do was going back to the motel and spend time relaxing in our room with a breathtaking view. I highly recommend this place if you don’t like hotel chains or big places. We’ll definitely go back.

“This is my "go to" stop when I'm traveling toward the Austin area. I love supporting small, family owned businesses like this when I have a choice between them and a large chain hotel. In spite of the motel's age, it is very well maintained. The front desk is always helpful and welcoming.”

“Great hotel, great price, very comfortable and peaceful, comfortable beds. Best deal around! I had a nice little cottage all to myself. It felt like I was on a real vacation. Will bring my family next time.”

“My brother and I stay here regularly when we are working on our land. The rooms are spotless and the staff is very nice. It has the feel of a high priced bed and breakfast at a very reasonable price. The courtyard is beautiful and relaxing. I always bring snacks for the local cat. I highly recommend this hotel.”

“It's my pleasure to recommend this beautiful and charming family owned place. With 20+ years experience in the hotel industry (Hilton/Marriott) I feel entitled to say that I had one of the most comfortable stays in my life. I will definitely recommend this Motel!”

"I stayed in "The Cottage" room, which was like a tiny house, it even has its own little back porch with chairs for chilling outside. The grounds are beautiful. The historic nature of the hotel was great, it's 104 years old and still owned by the same family. Room was very clean and an extremely comfortable space! The decor is that of your grandma's house, very warm and welcoming. The owner Dan was super nice and very helpful! I will stay here again and again!"

"I really love this place. It's so much better than the chain hotels. I'm planning to return again soon. Everyone was very friendly. The fresh baked muffins in the morning were wonderful also. Thank you for those amazing little extras."

"Our cottage was absolutely perfect in every way possible! It was well equipped, comfortable, extremely clean, and meticulously decorated in charming Texas style. But that’s not all. The hotel grounds (courtyard) were maintained as well as their cottages! It was a perfect place to sit outside to relax in comfortable Adirondack chairs. And there’s more! In the morning you’re greeted in the motel office with delicious fresh homemade muffins and an enormous variety of complimentary snacks, hot coffee and hot apple cider. It also cannot go unsaid how friendly & welcoming owners Dan & Joan Ratliff are. They have done an amazing job caring for this Texas historic place as well as running a first-class motel. Well done!"
