There are two rooms in this group and both are non-smoking.

As one of our most requested room types, these rooms are considerably larger than the single rooms and are furnished with a Queen Size bed, a large armoire, comfortable easy chair and a writing desk. All but one has a fully equipped kitchen; the one that does not has a microwave and refrigerator. All have premium furnishings and linens, high-speed wireless internet, in-room coffee service, aromatherapy bath products, hair dryers, refrigerator, cable TV with HBO and direct dial phones with Voice Mail.. Two of these suites are free standing cottages and do not share common walls with adjacent rooms which make them very unique.

Two of the rooms in this group are located in “The Schoolhouse”. The Schoolhouse was built in the late 1800’s and was moved on site in the 1940’s from the Talbot Ridge community just outside of Rockdale. At that time, it was the Talbot Ridge School. The room pictured here is non-smoking and the other has a smoking preference. The rooms have fully equipped kitchens, two queen size beds, a queen size sleeper sofa, living or seating areas and showers in the baths. The non-smoking room has an antique dining room table and chairs. All have premium furnishings and linens, high-speed wireless internet, in-room coffee service, aromatherapy bath products, hair dryers, a refrigerator, cable TV with HBO and direct dial phones with Voice Mail. The two smoking suites are furnished with stoves. The Schoolhouse has a private yard area and landscaping with several large trees.

The Cottage is a free standing luxury two room suite with a queen size bed, a separate living room and one and one half baths. Also included in the Cottage is a wet bar area and a private back deck. The rooms are furnished with antiques as well as comfortable sofa and chairs. The linens are Ralph Lauren. Coffee service is set up on the wet bar and bottled water is provided along with other premium amenities. The spacious shower is equipped with a regular and rain shower head that allows the guest to choose between one or the other or both. Adirondack chairs are on the private porch that overlooks a lovely central lawn area. Room service breakfast is offered to the cottage guests for an additional charge. The Cottage is furnished with a TV and DVD/VCR in the living room area. A TV and CD player is also provided in the bedroom. Movies are available for the VCR. In addition, The Cottage enjoys high-speed wireless internet, aromatherapy bath products, hair dryers, a small refrigerator, cable TV with HBO and direct dial phones with Voice Mail

The Cottage is non-smoking room and accommodates two adults.

The Garden Room is a very large suite that dates back to 1918 when the business was founded. The Garden Room is a free standing building and was once the original laundry facility for the property before being renovated to a luxury suite. It has several beautiful tall windows that face the central lawn area. The room is furnished with antiques including a 1920’s “G.E. Monitor Top” refrigerator in the kitchen. The kitchen is also equipped with a Jenn-Air cook top and microwave/convection oven. The rear French doors open to a private patio overlooking the garden. The king size bed is a luxury pillow top bed. The room is furnished with a flat screen TV, DVD player and surround sound system. This room meets ADA requirements.

As with all our other rooms, the Garden Room is furnished with premium furnishings and linens, high-speed wireless internet, in-room coffee service, aromatherapy bath products, hair dryers, a refrigerator, cable TV with HBO and direct dial phones with Voice Mail.

The Carriage House, circa 1870, is a large upstairs free standing luxury suite that is beautifully furnished with a king size bed, fully furnished kitchen, living room/bedroom combination and large bath. The bathroom is equipped with a Jacuzzi whirlpool bath, a large separate shower, a TV and aromatherapy products. This room also includes premium furnishings and linens, high-speed wireless internet, in-room coffee service, hair dryer, cable TV with HBO and direct dial phones with Voice Mail. The Carriage House was originally a functioning carriage house when the motel was founded.

The small upstairs deck is furnished with a small antique table and two chairs.

Room #36 is a free standing cottage that does not share common walls with adjacent rooms. This cottage has a large combined living and bedroom area with a queen size bed and is furnished with traditional Thomasville cherry furniture but with a few non-traditional surprises. The bathroom door is from the 1800’s and is beautiful etched glass. The bathroom is decorated with a mantel original to the business over a pedestal lavatory, an antique corner cabinet and a telephone. This room has beautiful Ralph Lauren linens, high-speed wireless internet, in-room coffee service, aromatherapy bath products, hair dryers, cable TV with HBO and direct dial phones with Voice Mail. The room also includes a kitchen with a wrought iron table and chairs, and is furnished with a refrigerator and a microwave. This room is frequently requested and a favorite to many of our guests.
