- Turn left on County Road 973 and continue traveling a short distance to Highway 290.
- Cross Highway 290 and continue on County Road 973 approximately 18 miles to the Taylor, Texas, U.S. Highway 79 Loop.
- Turn right and travel around the loop, approximately 3 miles to U.S. Highway 79 East.
- Travel approximately 24 miles to Rockdale, Texas.

- Leave the airport property going south on J.F.K. Blvd. and turn right on Beltway 8 or Sam Houston Tollway and travel 22 miles to U. S. Highway 290 West.
- Travel West on U. S. Highway 290 approximately 60 miles to Brenham, Texas.
- Continue around Brenham until Highway 290 becomes Highway 36 and continue traveling 48 miles to Milano, Texas. Highway 36 will end at U. S. Highway 79.
- Turn left on U. S. Highway 79 and travel west approximately 9 miles to Rockdale, Texas.
